The Traditional Program

The Traditional Program is a community-based program serving children and youth. Volunteers from the community positively affect a child's life by sharing their time on a one-to-one basis with that child. If you would like to help one special child meet the challenges of growing up, your are an ideal candidate to be a "Big." Every effort is made to place you with a child who shares similar interests -- your "Match." Activities are chosen by the Match and can be simple...walking in the park, sledding, cooking a meal or just spending time together.

If you and your spouse would like to share some time together with a child, you may be ideal for a Couples Match, or if you have children and wish to include them, you can participate in a Family Match. These options offer an enriching family experience providing guidance and friendship to help build a child's strengths.

Enrichment Activities

Enrichment Activities are an important aspect of the Traditional Program, designed to provide additional opportunities to the families, children and volunteers in the program. The Agency works with local businesses and organizations to offer fun, educational, athletic and enriching opportunities throughout the year.
